New Google, Facebook, Microsoft and more sign in feature.

We have rolled our a new update that focuses on making it easier for people to sign up on your website. In today's environment a typical user is on 5+ Communities and trying to grab them from these larger communities is a big barrier. Most people just won't sign up on a smaller website because of the dread of having to manage another account username and password. We have solved this by deploying a new sign in feature that not only adds Facebook connect type login but a selection of many others to give people several account options to join your website. The goal is to help make it easier for you to covert your site traffic into active website members.

To accomplish this task we have integrated with RPXNOW APIs that features single sign in integration with 12 different providers (Google, Facebook, Live, Twitter, AOL, Yahoo, Etc). If you are using a .spruz.com or .spruz.net extension Single Sign in is already enabled. If you would like to register your own RPX account and select your own providers then read our knowledge base article on setting up single sign in.

We hope you enjoy this new feature, as I am sure it will add more registrations to your website if you are promoting it.

I LIKE IT BUT MY SITE HAS A BLACK BACK GROUND AND THAT RPX BACK GROUND IS WHITE....IT MAKES MY SITE LOOK FUNNY....IS THEIR ANYWAY WE CAN CHANGE THE BACK GROUND COLOR TO LIKE TRANSPARENT . THANKS ....NICE !

You can upgrade on the RPX website for one of their premium packages, with the cheapest one being $100 a year. Spruz doesn't control the design at all.

That's exactly what I'm saying Edvard. It's not that I find anything wrong with this new improvement. In fact I love it. But it would be something that would be complemented nicely with being prompted to add your contacts at the point signing up for one of our sites

That's a great idea Randya. Maybe right after you've confirmed your e-mail you're taken to the import page. Once visitors have been on the site for a while and gotten to know people they would be much less compelled to invite anyone.

That's a good thing, but more so what I was referring to is when people first sign up they are instructed or given the option to do it at the moment they sign up for the sites. Since the system is already in place without using rpx, i might suggest using a javascript popup to make it happen after a person signs up for any of the sites so that they can add their contacts as soon as they become members of our sites. I see that a lot now days.

People can invite using there address book from all of those services currently.

@Jay, I haven't read all of the features for it yet Jay. What I'm referring to however is on many of the social networks I've seen, they ask you to invite your contacts from an array of other sites when you first initially sign up. When people first sign up they feel more compelled to do something of that nature because they don't know anyone on the site they just signed up for yet and have no friends. It's a logic that has made me use that type of feature myself on numerous occasion.

all the other places on there generate a million more times traffiic then spruz will, so what makes you believe they would offer a discount

Yes, that would be perfect! RPX really should give them (and us) a discount, seeing as Spruz will be directing a ton of traffic to them.

We already have built in inviting for people when they join. The contact import through RPX is an opt in option but would not automaticly add all thier friend it only sends invites like our inviter does. For most people the free RPX account should be more then enough.

This sounds pretty great. When members join our sites using this does it also ask them to add all of their contacts from these different websites and email providers? That would help us even further by making it easier for people to invite their contacts from each site by the simple click of a mouse.

That's an upgrade option you can choose from the RPX website, which costs $100 a year or $10 a month (it comes with a few more features as well). It certainly would be a great way to have people invite their friends, but I'm going to have to wait on it.
